GREEN Flags will be raised at Wellington Park and Swains Lane nature reserve later this month.

Taunton Deane Mayor Marcia Hill will raise the flags the council’s parks and open spaces department has gained on Tuesday, October 27.

A Green Flag recognises that the park or green space boasts the highest standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.

Swain’s Lane Nature Reserve in Wellington won a Green Flag community award.
