MAYOR of Wellington Gary James and wife Bee attended the annual meeting of the South West Keep Fit Association and Festival of Movement and Dance at Court Fields School in Wellington.

Two Movement and Dance sessions were held in the morning for everyone to take part in, one taken by Monica Spalding. In the afternoon, following the annual meeting, demonstration teams from all round the South-West performed in the festival.

Each of the nine areas in the South West region host the

annual event in turn and the organisers would like to thank Paul Van Koutrik and the caretaking staff at Court Fields for being helpful.

Monica has cut down on her classes in recent years, having taught in Wellington, Wiveliscombe and surrounding villages for many years, but still runs a class at The Trident in Taunton every Wednesday morning.

She also teaches a seated exercise class at WHERE on a Tuesday morning and takes seated classes at the Abbeyfield residential home in Taunton.
