LIKE most brides, long-time Wellington woman Kelly Lowry had her own ideas about what she wanted for her own big day but her husband-to-be had his own, rather different thoughts – as television viewers will find out next week in Don’t Tell the Bride.

In the show, the groom is left to plan the stag or hen do, the wedding, the reception and honeymoon without the bride’s knowledge, funded to a set £12,000 budget by the production company.

Kelly, 28, told the WWN she had wanted a nice, quiet wedding surrounded by her family. “Instead, I ended up with a wedding which was a massive spectacle,” said the now Mrs Clarke. “He did exactly the opposite but it was still wonderful. We only applied for the show as a joke – and it was a joke that went a little bit too far!”
