A parish council meeting was held on Monday, September 7, via Zoom video conference.

The council has received a new plan and quote for the refurbishment of the toilet block and this will be presented to the amenities committee for decision on Monday, September 21.

It is also in consultation with traffic management to look at possible sites to install speed indicator devices within the parish to help reduce speeding.

The council is modernising its website to make it more user friendly. Anyone who has interesting photos of the village they are happy to be used on the website, should email them to the clerk at [email protected]

The council has two vacancies to be filled by co-option. Anyone interested in playing a role within this interesting and varied aspect of village life, is welcome to contact parish council chairman Cllr Ian Ainsworth-Smith on 01823 400365 for an informal discussion. Co-options will be considered at the October meeting.

The grant application window is open from September 1-30. Anyone who would like to apply for funding should email the clerk at [email protected] for an application pack.

The next meeting is on Monday, October 5, at 7 pm. Anyone who would like to attend should email the clerk at [email protected] for log in details as the meeting will take place via Zoom video conference.
