MILVERTON Community Primary School has been named among the top 200 schools in England according to a list published in the Sunday Times.
Chairman of governors Ewan Robertson said: “We are delighted with this ranking. Given that there are over 24,000 primary schools in England this is a magnificent achievement.
“SATS results are, of course, far from being everything but what recognition for the efforts of everybody involved in our school community.”
Head teacher Richard Stead said: “This is fantastic news for our school and testament to the hard work of the staff and the children.
“We are very proud of the education we offer our pupils and we always try to do our best for them. SATs results are only one measure of success but to see the school in a national newspaper and recognised in such a ranking is a great boost to everybody.”
