COLDHARBOUR Mill Museum is celebrating Mother’s Day on Sunday (March 11) with a ‘steam day’ for all ages (10.30am-4pm).

The Mill is one of the oldest working woollen museums in the country – and recognised by Historic England as ‘one of the best preserved textile Mills in the country’.

Today it produces daily 100 per cent yarns and textiles using only heritage machinery and traditional techniques handed down by generations of craftspeople working at the mill.

A stroll round the factory demonstrates the process of taking fleece to yarn – and offers a unique hands-on experience for every visitor.

Coldharbour Mill is only a few minutes’ drive from Junction 27 of the M5, near Willand – just follow the brown signs to Working Wool Museum.
