POLICE are seeking witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a collision at Quarts Moor, Wrangway, Wellington last evening.

The collision happened at about 7.10pm. Two cars were travelling along the road in the direction of Hemyock. The car in front wanted to turn right into a roadside parking area.

A motorcycle which was following both cars passed the second and following car and was then in collision with the car waiting to turn right. The rider was thrown from his bike.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s said to be from the Somerset area, was later declared dead at the scene.

Now, collision investigators are appealing for the public's help.

They would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
