Mum’s the word for Co-op’s Norah Battys

MEMBERS of staff at the Co-op in Wellington took their inspiration from much-loved Last of the Summer Wine television character Norah Batty when they got all dressed up for a Mother’s Day fundraiser.

The staff at the Fore Street store ran a cake sale in aid of their charity of the year, the British Red Cross, on Friday. They have coined in about £1,000 since last autumn and will be raising more money from future events.
