WELLINGTON Newsagents in Fore Street is under new management - Jala News Ltd.

Jim and Helen Thorne have run the shop for 16 years and handed over the keys to new manager Asif Hussain this week.

The shop, which sells more than 650 WWNs a week, employs 20 delivery boys and has about 40 rounds.

Jala News is owned by Kalpesh Patel, who said: “We do not want to make any changes yet. Any changes, if there are any, will happen in the next four to six weeks.”

The business grew considerably two years ago when fellow newsagents E J Teare in South Street suddenly closed and it took on many of Teare’s customers.
