Deane council staff carried out the work after a campaign by town councillors who surveyed every home in the two streets to ask about the extent of the problems and gauge support for any proposed action.
Nearly six out of ten people who responded to the survey said they had experienced delivery problems, but there was little support for renaming either road and most wanted instead to see improved signage.
Wellington town councillor Gary James, who is also one of the estate’s Deane councillors, said: “We have listened carefully to what residents have told us and I am pleased we have now been able to carry out the measures they wanted.”
Town councillor John Thorne, who is also the estate’s Somerset county councillor, said: “The new signs should make it much clearer for delivery drivers and help them find the right address.”
