WELLINGTON Sports Federation has appointed Bob Bowrah to be its new chairman.

He takes over from Ken Bird.
Members of the association voted to appoint Cllr Bowrah, a member of both Wellington Town Council and Taunton Deane Borough Council, at their annual meeting on Thursday.
Cllr Bowrah told the WWN: "I am very honoured to be elected, and I will do all I can to promote the federation and sport in Wellington.
