A MEETING took place on Monday, January 15, at Nynehead Memorial Hall.

The poor broadband connection experienced in east Nynehead was discussed with the clerk informing council members that east Nynehead is set to have new fibre deployed by Gigaclear during 2018 and that residents should register their interest at www.gigaclear.com

Members discussed planning applications and expressed their dismay at the number of retrospective applications that seem to be presented.

Members agreed to make a contribution of £100 to Wiveliscombe Area Partnership which provides the Wivey Link which serves several residents in Nynehead. This is a useful form of transport for people who do not have access to private or public transport as Nynehead is not on any bus route.

Members agreed to change the date of the May meeting to Tuesday, May 29. This will be the annual parish council meeting and will follow the annual parish meeting. For more details of this or any other matter contact the clerk, Ros Shepherd, on 01823 660940 or email nyneheadclerk@

The next parish council meeting is at Nynehead Memorial Hall on Monday, February 19, and will start at 7.30pm.
