RESIDENTS on the Eastlands estate and South View, Hemyock, woke on Wednesday morning to discover a large branch on one of the oak trees on the edge of the Recreation Field had broken off during the night.

Fortunately the branch fell onto the grass – if it had fallen on the opposite side of the fence vehicles and possibly houses would have been damaged.
