AS rain clouds parted leaving blue sky above for the opening of the 11th Wellington Park Fete on Bank Holiday Monday, the organisers predicted one of the best events ever.

Paying tribute to the organising team, Friends of Wellington Park chairman Pauline Sturgess told the WWN: "We've got more stalls then ever, and the Friends have put in a lot of hard work to make the fete happen. They are a terrific team.

"This could turn out to be the best fete ever."
