Young at Heart Club members had a fun-filled Christmas party. Volunteers and staff helped ensure members from Wellington and Tiverton had a great day in a Covid-safe, well-ventilated environment with extra measures including temperature checks and regular hand sanitising.

Entertainment included live music from Neil Barclay and party games, including a snowball fight! A fantastic team of helpers provided a traditional turkey roast with all the trimmings and a choice of four desserts. The day ended with a Christmas grand draw with dozens of prizes.

Club founders Lloyd and Diana Yorke said: “It has been a joy providing a festive day of fun for our members, some of whom will be spending their Christmas alone. We started the club in 2014 to help tackle loneliness and isolation, and look forward to welcoming anyone who would like to join us in 2022.”
