WELL-known Wellington charity worker Madge Covey (pictured) has celebrated her 95th birthday with her son and grandson from New Zealand – both are called Tony.

Madge ran a lunch club for the WRVS for many years and was also standard bearer for the local branch of the Royal British Legion – also for a number of years.
Her charity work includes being the Pearly Queen at Wellington Carnivals.
