A PACKED Wellington saw Riflemen from the Fifth and Sixth Battalions of The Rifles receive the Freedom of the Town yesterday (Saturday).

In fine weather, three hundred members of the regiment, cadets and three marching bands, paraded from Wellington School to the council chambers, where they were officially awarded the freedom of the town.

Among the special guests for the occasion were the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, Mohammed Saddiq, the High Sheriff, Robert Drewett, and local MP, Rebecca Pow.
