LOCAL trainer David Pipe has entered seven horses in this year's Grand National which is worth a record breaking £900,000 and is due to be run at Aintree on Saturday, April 4.
Last year's winner Comply or Die heads the Nicholashayne handlers' entries as Pipe bids to join the elite trainers who have lifted the world's most famous race trophy more than once.
The other entries from the Pipe stables are Madison Du Berlai, which won the Hennesey Gold Cup at Newbury earlier in the season, Piraya, Arteea, Puntal, Le Toscan and Milan Deux Mille.
With the race just two months away, the Paul Nicholls trained Denman, which won the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2008, is the bookies favourite with odds as low as 8-1 being quoted, while Comply or Die is currently available at 20-1.
