BRADFORD Players have once again chosen a Norman Robbins play for their next production, the popular mystery-thriller A Tomb With A View.
The play is set in a sinister old library presided over by a portrait of a grim-faced, mad-eyed old man. There, a dusty, lawyer reads a will – involving some millions of pounds – to an equally sinister family. One has werewolf tendencies, another wanders around in a toga of Julius Caesar and a third is a gentle old lady who plants more than seeds in her flower beds.
By the third act, there are more corpses than live members left in the cast and what about the sympathetic nurse and the author of romantic novels? Are they all, or more than, they seem to be? All is revealed as the plot twists and turns to its surprising conclusion.
Tickets priced £7.50 adults and £5 under-18s are available on 07581 880807. The venue is Bradford-on-Tone village hall which is at the. A Tomb With A View runs at Bradford-on-Tone village hall, in the centre of the village, next to the church, from October 20-22 with performances at 7.30pm.
