A HUSBAND and wife who died in a suspected case of murder-suicide have been formally named by police as the investigation into their deaths continues.
Police are investigating if Michael Beck, 62, killed his wife Nicola, 52, before killing himself at their £900,000 luxury farmhouse. Their bodies were found together at the farmhouse at Dunkeswell in the Blackdown Hills on Wednesday, January 4 – a day before Mrs Beck’s 53rd birthday.
Devon and Cornwall Police officers were called to the five-bedroom home, set in 55 acres, in Dunkeswell Abbey, after a relative raised the alarm on the Wednesday morning when concerns were raised for the couple’s welfare.
The force say that officers investigating the deaths have now concluded the formal identification of the man and woman whose bodies were discovered at the property.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said a file was being prepared for the coroner.
The spokesman said the inquiry into the circumstances surrounding both deaths is still being treated as a ‘domestic-related murder and suicide’.
Detective Inspector Steve Davies, from the major crime unit, said: “We are not looking for any other person in connection with this incident and can confirm that no other person was present at the premises at the time of this incident.”
