Sgt Kat Forrest and PC Hayden Smith were on a routine foot patrol through town when a vehicle passed them at high speed.
Police attended the address of the vehicle's registered keeper and spoke with the driver. The driver admitted to driving in an antisocial manner.
Avon and Somerset define anti-social driving as "Any activity involving a vehicle which causes alarm or distress, including racing, drifting around corners, making excessive noise, wheel spinning or doing tyre burnouts."
The incident comes after Avon and Somerset released footage of mounted officers chasing down a separate driver for using his phone behind the wheel.

Body cam footage from officers of the Avon and Somerset Constabulary mounted section showed the moment police caught up with the driver who was travelling down East Reach, before stopping him in a nearby side road.

Police were pictured on CCTV pursuing the silver Landrover after the driver was seen using his phone from behind the wheel.
The interventions come after Somerset Police joined a nationwide crackdown on people who use mobile phones while driving.
Police say drivers can only use phones to call 999 or 112 in an emergency when it’s unsafe or impractical to stop, when safely parked, if making a contactless payment in a vehicle that’s not moving or when using the device to park your vehicle remotely.
