THE residential care home at Nynehead Court, near Wellington, has held a very successful Companion Dog Show.

Organised under Kennel Club regulations, there were both Pedigree and Novelty Classes at the event, with profits donated to Art Care Education, a Somerset charity which supports arts and crafts.

Home manager Angela Watkins said: “Our residents loved seeing the many different breeds of dog which people in the area have and we wish to congratulate all the class winners and thank everyone for attending the supporting the show.”

Main winners: Best In Show – Mrs A Meadows from Nynehead, with her Irish Setter Daisy; Reserve Best in Show – Glenda Tibbotts with her boxer Liesl; Best Puppy – Jenny Casey from Taunton with her Papillon Rio. The judge was Malcolm Shovel.
