MORE than 100 Year 7/8 students from Court Fields School in Wellington entered a ‘War on Plastics’ poster competition following a series of Science lessons on the subject.
The students were asked to create posters that would communicate problems associated with single-use plastics and suggest suitable alternatives.
The Blue Pantry, a zero waste shop in Fore Street, Wellington, judged the posters and commended all the students on their hard work and creativity.
Thirteen students had their posters – a selection shown above – chosen to be displayed in the shop over the summer. They were: India Reed, Harry Stevens, Sophie Burrows, Juliette Oram, Imogen Stevens, William Bailey, Charlotte Trott, Elinor Rylatt, Lily Dyer, Ruby Sentance, Chloe Guzman, Asmaa Abou Albourghol and Shayan Willetts.
