The first Burlescombe Produce Market will be held at Burlescombe & Westleigh Community Hall on Saturday (January 25) at 10am.

The hall is fully booked with 13 local food producers and suppliers, including meat and poultry, eggs, raw milk, vegetable boxes to order, bread, cakes, patisserie, goat’s milk products, honey, plants and more.

The emphasis is on providing an outlet for local and ethically produced goods with the lowest possible carbon footprint, and supporting the local community in shopping as locally as possible.

The small meeting room in the hall will host a small group for children’s activities and crafts, and parents are encouraged to take their little ones along. A breakfast kitchen will be open for refreshments.

It is planned that this will be a regular market with events on the fourth Saturday of every month.
