PUPILS and staff at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington enjoyed a picnic to celebrate 100 years since the birth of author Roald Dahl.
Pupils dressed up as their favourite Dahl characters and a ‘peach’ played the piano – Ms Saunders – to accompany singing of the Oompa Loompa song.
Children from Year 5 and 6 read extracts from Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts to entertain the younger children in the school.
