CHILDREN, staff and parents at Stawley Primary School collected £200.13 at their Nativity play for local charity School in a Bag (SIAB) organised by the Piers Simon Appeal.

This enabled the school to contribute to ten school bags to be delivered to vulnerable and needy children around the world.

A cheque was presented to SIAB school liaison officer Lis Foy at a special school assembly in which the children had the opportunity to learn about the work of School in a Bag in 35 countries around the world.

Year 6 children helped to pack the custom school bags for despatch. They are pictured with the bags which have a unique identification number enabling the children to track their bags to their ultimate destination.
