PUPILS at Churchstanton Primary School enjoyed cooking on a camp fire, team building games and circus skills on an aerial rig during two days of outdoor activities on the school field.

Badger class teacher Ruth Hopkins arranged the events – all carefully planned to be Covid-safe – as the children were unable to go on a customary annual residential visit.

The aerial rig, with expert tuition provided by Frances Aitken, was a great hit with pupils – and the local pub, The York Inn, delivered dinner for adults and children.

A spokesperson for the school said: “Huge thanks to the class teachers and teaching assistants who gave up their time to make the two days such a worthwhile learning experience.”
