STAWLEY Parish Council is organising a clean-up morning as part of celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Clean for the Queen is a national campaign to clear up Britain in time for the Queen’s official birthday in June. Clean-up events will take place across the country during the weekend of March 4-6.

Volunteers should meet at the village shop on Sunday, March 6, at 11am and three or four groups will walk the key roads picking up litter with the aim of finishing by 1pm.

Volunteers are asked to wear something bright and visible and to take gloves. Everyone is welcome, including supervised children.
