Apple County Quilters chairperson Ann Eckley presents a cheque for £1,425 to Linda Battle, representative of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Some £50 was also given to Nynehead All Saints Church.

The money was raised at Apple County’s exhibition at The Orangery, Nynehead Court, where the group’s work was exhibited and home-made gifts and prizes supplied the sales table and a tombola stall.

Visitors were able to enjoy the gardens at Nynehead as well as see inside the church. Juliet Heaton won the raffle quilt (pictured).

Apple County Quilters meets every other Tuesday at Nynehead and new members are always welcome.
