After my letter in last week’s WWN ‘Pavement cyclists pose a danger’ I was walking down from the Railway bridge from Tonedale when I was in the way of a person riding a bike on the pavement towards me.

I stood my ground and I was told I was a f****** p**** because I did not let him pass and he had to ride in the road. I would point out that no vehicles were on the road at the time, so what was the point of him riding on the pavement.

Who do these stupid cyclists think that they are – the pavements are for pedestrians, not those riding bikes. I am confounded by their arrogance and ignorance.
