At the next meeting of Nynehead Local History Society on Friday, David Rabson will give an illustrated talk entitled A New Look at the River

Tone.

The talk, based on research over 20 years, will follow the river from its source on the Brendon Hills to the edge of Taunton at Bishop’s Hull, looking at how the landscape of the valley has changed and how the river has been used over the centuries.

The meeting is at Nynehead Memorial Hall starting at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome – entrance £3. For more information phone 01823 666609.
