CHAIRMAN of the SURE (Somerset Unit for Radio Therapy Equipment) charity Paul Alway shows off a cheque for £1,024 raised at concerts in Wellington.

The John Walker Band staged two Rock and Roll years concerts featuring more than 40 songs at the town arts centre to raise the money plus £66 in a bucket collection.

The band is made up of John Walker (vocals), Tony Woollard (lead guitar), Andy Bearne (rhythm guitar), David White (keyboard/flute), Kevin Coughlin (bass guitar) and Geoff Cross (drums).
