CHILDREN at Rockwell Green Primary School have seen some of their beautiful designs come to life.
As part of a worship week held in school last year, children created liturgical cloth designs to represent the Christian calendar and reflect the character of the school.
These designs have now been translated into real cloths by school chaplain Helena Power.
She told the children how much she had enjoyed recreating their designs and gave them a teddy supplied with vestments in all the colours knitted by members of All Saints’ Church.
The school held a special assembly attended by Helena and Cllr Marcus Barr. Last year when the designs were being made, Cllr Barr offered his councillor allowance to go towards buying a new worship
table.
The table will help children to have a greater focus during assemblies and collective worship.
