Rotarians at Wiveliscombe and District Rotary Club have once again shown their generosity – with a £500 donation to community radio station 10Radio.

Station chairman the Rev Andrew Norris said: “The donation comes at a very opportune time as we are not only looking towards going back into the studio after the lockdown – this will mean we can finish off the studio refurbishment which has been aimed at making our facilities more accessible to those with wheelchairs etc.

“A number of people are beginning to the learn the skills of home recording and that is something which will expand the number of people who can be involved in the station – and the donation will make a valuable contribution towards equipping us to do this.”

10Radio broadcasts on 105.3 FM and streams through the internet via www.10Radio.org 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is run by volunteers from the local community for the local community, providing entertainment and information for people in the Wiveliscombe, the ten parishes and surrounding area.

During the Covid-19 crisis the station has broadcast the latest information about the help and support available locally, and has been a valuable companion providing familiar voices to those who have felt isolated.
