A CANVAS banner advertising Wellington Rugby Club minis, juniors and girls has gone missing from a fence near the Chelston roundabout.

The youngsters’ chairman Andrew Dunston says he has tried to find the banner, which cost £150 and only went up recently.

“I asked permission for the fence to be used, so it is not something which should not have been there. Other banners further along the relief road have also gone missing.

“I have made various enquiries, including talking to the council, but no-one seems to know a thing.”

The rugby club has a similar canvas banner outside Court Fields School by the petrol filling station.
