THE Holcombe Rogus scarecrows returned again to decorate the village and welcome everyone to the annual produce show held in the village hall.

Some 19 scarecrows were on display and the theme this year was ‘The Movies, Look Out for the Invisible Man!’

The winner was Pete Davies with The Thirty Nine Steps and he won a prize of £25.

Cups were won at the show for fruit and vegetables, flowers, cookery, jam and preserves, homebrew, photographs and patchwork. Tilly Barker won the Children’s Cup.

The WI runs the show every year and gives some of the proceeds to the village hall fund.
