STUDENTS in the school choir at Court Fields School in Wellington have been busy in the run-up to Christmas.

More than 50 members of the choir went to the Skylark pub for its Christmas festivities and entertained a packed house with traditional carols and seasonal songs.

Some 55 choir members and four staff went to Wells Cathedral for the Somerset County Christmas Celebration which involved an afternoon rehearsal and evening performance. The choir sang a solo item, By Candlelight, and joined in the massed choir items with singers from all over the county.  

And a smaller choir of 30 members walked to Popham Court Nursing Home in Wellington to sing to residents, who enjoyed the performance and meeting the students.
