SPORTY youngsters at Beech Grove Primary School in Wellington have been enjoying success in a range of friendly fixtures.

Year 5 and 6 girls footballers had a win, a draw and a loss at King’s College in Taunton, and then showed great team spirit, sportsmanship and dedication in terrible conditions to win two games and draw one.

Eight Key Stage 2 children took part in tag teams to run 900m in wet and cold conditions at King’s College.

Key Stage 2 handball players won all four games and showed great sportsmanship when they played other teams for the first time at Heathfield School in Taunton.
