COURT FIELDS Community School, Wellington looks set to remain in 'special measures' for some three years as a result of its partnership with The Castle School, Taunton, announced on Wednesday.

The 720-student school, in Mantel Street, Court Fields Community School which is the main secondary school serving Wellington, Langford Budville, Sampford Arundel and West Buckland, will become an academy on January 1, 2014, becoming part of The Castle School Academy Trust.

It will drop the 'Community' from its title but retain the name Court Fields.

Expectations are high at Court Fields Community School, Wellington that some of the shine from The Castle School, Taunton, judged 'outstanding' overall by Ofsted inspectors after its last inspection in 2009, will rub off.
