THE Kingsmead School, Wiveliscombe, production of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat was a big hit with audiences.
Spike Maxwell from Year 8 played the lead role of Joseph in the retelling of the Biblical story of the favourite son of Jacob – played by Eleanor Redish from Year 10 – who can interpret dreams to foretell the future.
The colourful story, performed in three evening shows before the half-term break, was told through song from beginning to end and featured great performances from the cast, many of whom had dual roles. Head of Year 10 Mr Thompson’s Elvis impersonating Pharoah was noteworthy.
Students from across the year groups were involved in all aspects of the production as actors, singers and musicians, and as back stage crew and technicians.
