THE annual 1st Hemyock Scout Group sale made a record £2,000-plus.
A large queue formed outside the Parish Hall and the room was soon overflowing as visitors searched for bargains among the clothing, bric-a-brac, DVDs, books, soft furnishings, games and puzzles.
Outside, as well as a huge selection of footwear, was a large amount of furniture and electrical goods ranging from televisions, a washing machine and breadmakers to settees and wardrobes. The cake stall attracted many buyers and visitors were also able to enjoy cream teas and a barbecue.
Some of the remaining goods were sent to Wellington Rotary Club, British Heart Foundation and St Mary’s Church charity shop.
The group would like to thank everyone for their continuing support.
