WELLINGTON Scouts got a real sense of history when they stood on the very spot where Scouting was born.

A visit to see the memorial stone to the first scout camp held on Brownsea Island in Poole harbour was the highlight of their summer camp at the Braggers Woods Scout Campsite, Dorset.

The Scouts also visited Beaulieu House and Motor Museum, Paulton Theme Park and Tower Park as well as the beach at at Christchurch.
