Nynehead Court’s Head Gardener Justin Cole was presented with a Silver Trowel on Sunday, to mark 10 years of participation in the National Garden Scheme (NGS) Open Gardens.

The presentation was made by Marsha Casey, Assistant County Organiser of the NGS, in recognition of the home’s regular opening of their grounds whilst raising money for the NGS’ charitable causes. It was made during Nynehead Court’s second ‘Open Gardens’ event of 2022.

The home’s NGS Open Gardens events are always well-attended by garden enthusiasts eager to see the home’s 14 acres during different seasons, and the two events held in June and July have attracted many visitors while raising over £600 for the NGS.

Home Manager Joanne Fenn said: “The NGS Open Gardens events are a regular feature of the Nynehead Court callendar, and we were delighted to once again support the NGS and its wonderful causes. The Silver Trowel is a wonderful and very welcome gift and will be proudly displayed.”
