DRIVER in and around Taunton and West Somerset face a number of road closures across the area.

National Highways has updated motorists on where and hen to expect delays across the network this until March 17.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

M5, from 8pm February 27 to 4am March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to junction 25 50 mph speed limits for urgent carriageway repairs.

M5, from 8pm March 9 to 5am March 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for urgent carriageway repairs, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm March 11 to 6am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 to 26 lane closure for barrier repairs.

M5, from 9pm March 12 to 6am March 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 to 26, lane closure for barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm March 16 to 4am March 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for urgent carriageway repairs, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
