Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9am to 3pm on January 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to junction 25 hard shoulder closure for safety barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm January 22 to 6am January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 to 26, lane closure for barrier works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
