Essex-based folk duo Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer will present the next concert in Wiveliscombe’s Silver Street Sessions on Friday (June 7).
Their evenings, suitable for all ages, are packed with toe-tapping tunes and songs of love, death, trains and dressing up – not always at the same time – all presented with sparkling gentle humour, lots of smiles and skilful musicianship.
The pair, who have featured on the front cover of the Living Tradition Magazine, will showcase new interpretations of old songs alongside original self-penned tunes and new contemporary songs that are entirely at home in the tradition.
Their latest album, Twelve Months and A Day, was released this year and their earliest, Red House, came out in 2013.
The concert is in the old sorting office behind Wiveliscombe Post Office in West Street. Tickets (£12/£10 concessions) are available from Wiveliscombe Post Office (phone 02984 623308, email [email protected]) or via www.
