SPECTRUM, the visual arts and crafts section of Wellington Arts Association, held its summer exhibition at the Arts Centre in Eight Acre Lane on Saturday and Sunday.

Mayor of Wellington Janet Lloyd found time in her busy schedule to pay a visit along with her husband Ian, who teaches art locally.

Previous mayors Vivienne Stock-Williams and Andrew Govier, among loyal supporters, also went along to see the exhibition.

The event showcased the work of Rebecca Webb, who runs classes in historical needlework locally, and ‘Inspirations by Brendean’ from Wiveliscombe who take their inspiration from the scriptures and nature to produce creative laser designs on well-crafted wooden items.

Spectrum thank supporters at the arts centre who helped with staging the exhibition.
