CHARITY workers Emma Jones and Sadie Nelson have launched the Monumental Sunflower Raffle in aid of the Wellington Monument restoration appeal and St Margaret’s Hospice.

John has obtained more than 40 prizes for the raffle, which is hoped to raise £10,000 with the proceeds split equally between the charities.
Among the prizes are a helicopter flight, two small aircraft flights, a hot air balloon flight, a tandem skydive and a flight in a glider. Other prizes include a driving experience in a 1962 E-Type Jaguar convertible, two dinghy boat rides at Wimbleball Lake, a clay pigeon shoot and a two-and-a-half hour walk with alpacas.

Raffle tickets are priced £1 and are available from Odette’s tea room, Nurtured by Nature, The Cottage and Moonbeams farm shop, all in Wellington. The draw will take place on Monday, January 20.
