CHILDREN from St John’s Primary School in Wellington enjoyed sports day on the school field.

St Patrick’s house emerged as sports day champions at the event organised by teacher Mrs Gage. The country dancing club provided half-time entertainment.

A spokesperson said: “The weather wasn’t the kindest all week but this didn’t stop the children from competing brilliantly.”
