ST John’s Church in Wellington was full for the funeral service of community stalwart Terry Milton.

The Rev Alan Ellacott led the service and friend Richard Fox read tributes from dozens of people to Terry, whose many roles included taking photos for the WWN.

The service included the hymns All Things Bright and Beautiful and Make Me a Channel of Your Peace, and the songs Always On My Mind by Elvis Presley and My Way by Frank Sinatra. Zoe Oliver sang the hymn Be Still for the Presence of the Lord.

Donations in Terry’s memory will be given to Wellington in Bloom for the planting at Lancer Court.
